You’d think it’d be the easiest, but sometimes the very first blog post is the hardest one! You write out a bunch of things, then you feel like you’re getting too deep into it so you delete and try again. Then you write too little and realize you didn’t really say anything. You wonder if you should introduce yourself, or if you should just get right into what your blog is about. Then you get hungry or need to let your cat outside and find an excuse to put it off until you think of the ‘right’ thing to say. No more procrastinating!
Consider this blog post a friendly wave hello! Welcome to Omidog.com. Oddly, this was originally going to be an online pet bakery (and may become one sometime in the nearish future), but then I realized that in addition to tasty cookies, people need great information! Thankfully with blogs, information can spread like wildfire throughout the Web at the click of a button. This can also be a bad thing, though, when it’s the wrong information that’s circulating. This blog aims to help animal lovers everywhere to get great information about the animals they love, up to the minute news, and hopefully a laugh or two.
Pet products and ‘going green’ are huge now as well, so we’ll be featuring products that can contribute to both the environment and a smile on your dog/cat/fish/worm’s face (do worms have faces??). As with any great resource, it’s nothing without its readers! So please don’t feel shy about leaving a comment. Have a question? Ask! Disagree with something? Start a discussion! We all learn from each other and I hope that this blog will become a great place for pet lovers, animal aficionados, and even just casual passers by to learn, laugh, and have fun.
